6. Points. 1. May 15, 2014. #1. My stilo (52 reg 1.6) started stalling and the engine light came on. I got a p105 code (MAP sensor faulty) when I did a diagnostic. I even replaced the MAP sensor, I also changed my exhaust, spark plugs and coils. and yet I still have a bad idle. I suspect that there might be a vacuum leak but I'm not an expert. Check voltage between the the earth connection, black wire, on the rear light cluster and a good earth on the body with fog light on, near 0v is good, if not then find and clean up the earth Location. It started about 6 weeks ago and whilst driving at 70 MPH on the M1, the engine warning light came on and the engine revs dropped. I pulled over to the hard shoulder with the engine still running, but when the accelerator was depressed, the revs Went to accelerate yesterday and engine felt like it was firing on three cylinders then 'Engine' fault icon came up with a little spanner sign and the EOBD amber light is also stuck on. Right, it sounds more like a combination of faults rather than the usual low battery causing startup failures; although this is a possibility. Everytime i reach 80 mph it flashes up on the computer 'engine fault' and a red pic comes up on the dash. The engine fault light came on a couple of weeks ago and the car cuts out all the time when I stop a junctions/lights etc. Took it to a garage I know as service and MOT were due. Changed the cambelt too as done 74k miles. The Garage cleared the fault code and said it was the MAP sensor but probably something to do with air.
